Anthro (freakin’) Pologie!

When I was in college at Pepperdine, there was nothing I loved more than my regular pilgrimage to the Anthropologie store in Santa Monica. While everybody else laid out on the beach or bellied up to the bar, I spent my Saturday mornings browsing, admiring the beautiful, colorful fabrics and intricate, handcrafted jewelry that the Anthropologie brand has become synonymous with. It was the first time I’d been to a store with such a strong sense of self, a clear identity that just happened to align very closely to my own. I wanted everything. Over the next four years, without a hint of regret, I ate a lot of ninety-nine cent tacos and bought some truly incredible maxi dresses. It was love at first sight. I’m so happy (and a little astounded) to report that the love is mutual.
